From the Canson Book

Time for another peek in my daily journal, the Canson Book. I must say I'm a bit surprised at how well this book is holding up with all I'm doing to it, especially the binding, but also the paper can take a lot more than I expected, since it's not really thick paper or anything. So if you're looking for an  interesting journal you might like to check out the Canson Art Books. It's not my favorite or anything, but it's still pretty good for what it is. (Oh, and in case you want to know: my favorites are still the Seawhite of Brighton sketchbooks.)

Now, let's have a peek inside, shall we?

As you can see I've been doing a bit of everything lately. Writing, sketching, photography, doodling and even some lettering. My favorite spread is the last one. I just love drawing imaginary flowers and then colouring them in with coloured pencils. It's relaxing and makes for beautiful pages.

Hope you enjoyed this peek and hope you are enjoying your own journal from time to time.

Have a good day all!

  1. That's how most of my notebooks end up most of the time too: a bit of everything all jammed in there together. Creativity can't be stopped, huh?! Happy June!

    1. It's how I like my journals the best Hanna, everything goes. Happy June to you too! :-)

  2. I've been reading back through journals I kept in 2000-2001 (all writing), and I am so amazed by how the detail just brings back those periods in my life. I am so happy that I took the time to write so much down...I REALLY should be doing the same thing now, especially since my kids are young...what a great memory it would be later on. You must have a wonderful archive of your life and art!

    1. I have dozens upon dozens of filled books. I don't look back on them often, but I do enjoy having them as a record of my life. I'm still looking for a nice bookcase to store them so I can access them easier. Right now I keep them in boxes.

I appreciate each and every comment. They make me really happy. I don't like spammers though and that's why the word verification is turned on. I know it's a pain, but I hope you understand.

I try to respond to all comments by directly replying in the comment section, but please understand that sometimes this may take some time. Know that I read them all and that they make my day.
