Drawing in the journal

Currently I use my journal for just about anything I feel like doing and of course drawing is a part of that. Here's a selection of spreads from the Real Journal (yes, that's what it's called) where I did some kind of drawing or sketching.

As you maybe can tell, the last picture is also the last page in the Real Journal. Yes, I've completed another journal! This one was rather small and thin, so it only took me about 5 to 6 weeks.

The only thing that still needs finishing is the fabric cover I'm making for it. That's why the right side of that spread is only used to test some colours, since it will be covered up when the cover is done. Of course I will show that to you when it's finished.  I'm proud of how it's looking so far, but the big test will come when I actually put it together. Keep your fingers crossed.

I have already started another journal by the way, but that's for another post. For now I wish you all a wonderful and artsy day!

    1. Thank you Annie. Just try it when you can. You don't have to do it every day, just put it in front of your mind, so when a moment does arise you seize it. Maybe the trick is turning a 'should' into a 'want', if you know what I mean. ;-)

  6. I love your journals Caatje. Imagine someday, long way away in the future, someone stumbling on them and being caught up in the way you lived your life and the things that you did, the places you saw, and the experiences you had and recorded. Treasures. That's what they are. Priceless and fascinating. Keep up the magic and thank you for sharing it with us. Cheers!

    1. Thank you! I keep my journals for me, but it is nice to imagine sometimes what will become of them after I'm gone. :-)

I appreciate each and every comment. They make me really happy. I don't like spammers though and that's why the word verification is turned on. I know it's a pain, but I hope you understand.

I try to respond to all comments by directly replying in the comment section, but please understand that sometimes this may take some time. Know that I read them all and that they make my day.
