Let's go the beach

Let's go to the beach on a windy day with lots of waves and foam, and let the wind blow your worries away while we walk along the shore line.

If you are more into 'live action' I even have a little video for you. Now keep in mind that blogger downsizes these things so the image quality is not great and for that reason it's best not to play it full screen, but in small size it's good enough to give you an idea and hear the wind.

Also, if I recall correctly if you receive my blogposts in your mailbox, you  may have to go to the actual site to see the video, I'm afraid my control of the mail options are very limited, so sorry for any inconvenience.

Hope you are all feeling refreshed now and wishing you a wonderful and artsy day!

  1. Thank you for a morning walk at the beach; living now on the western front of the Rocky Mountains my years, childhood, youth, young woman and mother living near the ocean come alive as I see your photos. My landscape now has many streams and rivers, creeks and ponds and birds galore, yet there is a different sense of time and space than what comes to me at the edge of the ocean. Much appreciation for this morning beach walk.

    1. There are so many different landscapes to be had and loved. In the Netherlands we don't have any mountains, just some hills, but they don't call it nether lands for nothing, haha. I love my island, the dunes, the beach, the (small)forest, but what I miss here for example is the farm country I grew up in with meadows and cows and fields of corn and such. It's why I love vacationing at my sister's house from time to time. She still lives in that area.
I'm glad you enjoyed the images and video and that I could transport you to the beach for a little while.

  2. Hi KAM, (and of course Carin) I also now live in the mountains..the Smoky Mtns of North Carolina. However, I think my soul lives at the ocean. I also loved the sound of the wind and I wish I could be stomping all that foam with my bare feet..so here is another "thank you" for your video.

    1. You're more than welcome. I think my soul can live just about anywhere as long as I can still spot some beauty there, but my roots are definitely in the region I grew up in as a child (see my response to KAM). I still think it's possible that someday I may return there to stay, but I'm not ready to leave the place I live now, because I love it here. ;-)
