Let's go walking!

Let's go walking!

We'll go among the trees and through the dunes and cross over to the beach.
We'll take in the sights and the little details, some left behind by other walkers before us.
We'll enjoy the cloudy sunny weather in between the bouts of rain and feel lucky that we picked just the right time to go outside.

And we'll take pictures of course, 'cause that is how we roll after all...

After we come home we will fix ourselves a vanilla latte and put our feet up. And maybe...just maybe...a cat will come and join us!

Any day with a good walk and a nosy cat is a good day, I'm sure you agree.

    1. You're welcome Andria. This is one of my favorite walks. It's not too long and yet takes you along a lot of different type of landscapes in one go.

  3. As always, I totally LOVE your pics and am so happy you shared them with us. Can I ask you, what type of fruit or vegetable is that in the one picture [whatever it is, looks like it has some type of roots coming from the bottom of it but it kinda looks like a tomato?]

    1. Thank you Debi. Those red things are rose hips from what we call a 'dune rose' and what in english (according to wikipedia) is called a burnet rose. They grow everywhere here and have beautiful bright coloured flowers.

    2. I for sure learned something new today, Cattje! I read what you wrote and I said out loud ... they're ROSES, HUH? LOL I then did a search for more information and see that they can be used for tea and also to put in soup as well. I had no idea at all ... like I said, to me it looked like a tomato. : )

    3. You can make jam of them as well, although I'm not sure you can do any of those things with this specific type of rose hip. Glad you learned something new! ;-)
