During my vacation I took several day trips to the main land. Unfortunately on most of those the weather wasn't all that great, so I didn't take many pictures. But on a daytrip to Harlingen I got lucky and was able to take some shots.

Harlingen is a quaint little port town with a wonderful atmosphere. It's also the town where the ferry puts us islanders on the main land. I come there quite often, but have never really gone out of my way to take pictures of it. Today I'd like to make up for that a little. ;-)

I didn't get to walk around there as much as I wanted, because that night a storm was coming in and I wanted to get home before it hit. I'm still hoping though to one day take a very extensive city walk through this place and really take in every detail. But that's for another time.

Wishing you all a wonderful and artsy week!

  1. Nice pictures. I always thought it would be nice to have a yarn store and live above it as it seems some of the shops you took photos of are like. Enjoyed the "trip".

    1. A lot of shops here are like that. Shop below and people living above. It does have a cosy feel to it.

  2. Love the photos and the tour! I look forward to a more extensive tour in the future.

    1. Thank you! I hope to be able to go again soon.

  3. As usual, I love the picture tours. The area is just beautiful.

I appreciate each and every comment. They make me really happy. I don't like spammers though and that's why the word verification is turned on. I know it's a pain, but I hope you understand.

I try to respond to all comments by directly replying in the comment section, but please understand that sometimes this may take some time. Know that I read them all and that they make my day.
