The Achterhoek Slideshow - part three of four

At the end of September I went on vacation to the Achterhoek, a region in the east of the Netherlands.

I stayed at my sister's house and went on loads of biking and hiking trips in the area. I also took many many photographs.

These are some of my favorites.

I like to let the images speak for themselves, but if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Above all: enjoy!

Wishing you all a wonderful and artsy day!

  1. Wow, I am loving the buildings and archways, the water, etc., etc. It is all sooooo beautiful. How blessed you are to be able to visit such a wonderful place. It seems like a fantasy land. I don't think I would want to go back home......Linda E.

    1. All these pictures were taken in the city of Zutphen. I went on a long walk there that was set up by the local tourist agency. It really is a beautiful city. If my home were not full of its own beauty I might not want to leave either, haha.

    1. Some buildings have been restored. The town is pretty proud of its heritage and rightfully so. The old walls and the tower with the birds on it are all remnants of the old city wall.
