I have a very serious job

And I have the pictures to prove it.

Here are some shots from my office to show you they were fools to hire me. :-)

PS The vampire cat was painted by my very talented friend Sandra Brouwer

PPS I have changed the look on my blog (don't tell me you didn't notice!). Please let me know what you love or hate about it. I'm going for a bit of a cleaner look. Is it working?

PPPS Have a good day all! ;-)

  2. I have two comments, well, three: you make your office space as much fun as it can manage to be! and your new look -- the left column seems to dominate the blog pushing your great pix over a bit far -- can you give the pix more space, please? also I see you are sadly missing http://beautifulmetaphor.blogspot.com from your list.....just sayin....

    1. Well, I've switched the main part and the sidebar again. As for the space between them, that I can't change, there's no setting for it that I can find. I did move the bigger pictures in the last two post to the left so that helps, but that's something you have to do by hand, so I won't do it in all my old posts. ;-) I think I would mostly like to go without a sidebar, but that would mean making more tabs and handtyping a lot of links and stuff so I'll save that for some future time. Thanks for your comments.

  3. I think just switching the relative locations did the trick, though. Thanks so much! what a swift response.

  5. like like like!! The new look didn't fit on my screen so I made it smaller on my own settings and it worked.

I love the goodies at the top - washi tape and fabric and all those colors! yummy!!

    1. Thank you! I was a little worried about the 1200 pixels width, but more and more people get bigger screens and as you say you can downsize it through your browser. Glad yuo like it. Washi tape is a dangerous addiction, haha.

    1. LOL! I get most comments by visitors on what I call my 'Big Rats'. They always lead to all kinds of questions and assumptions like people thinking I'm a big lover of rats for instance, but I just found these funny. In my studio I actually have rats hanging by their tails from a cupboard (stuffed ones of course, I'd never do that to a real rat!). ;-)

  9. I'm looking at your blog on my PC and its great there. I like your new header pic but miss seeing your studio! Still, freshening things up occasionally is a good thing. Love how you've adorned your office. Some places in the U.S. allow for that and others don't allow even a family picture on your desk. I don't think I could stand to work in one of those sterile places.

    1. The studio pics in my header were starting to get a bit outdated. But I'll be sure to post regularly about it, I do love looking at studio's myself.
About decorating the office. I didn't dare to at first. I started with one little card on a key box and slowly expanded. I now have butterflies all over the window coverings for instance, which made one former colleague call my office 'the butterfly garden'. ;-) Everybody here has personal things in their office and I agree, it makes for a nicer workplace.

  15. Inderdaad mooie nieuwe look Carin.
