I've got it covered! (International Fake Journal Month)

Well, I did it. I finished the cover for the fake journal and I have to tell you I'm just a little bit proud of it and really like how it looks.
It seems I found a new love in stitching and embroidery. Who knew?

    1. There really is. I always stayed away from embroidery and such, because I connected it with things like cross stitch and very precise patterns. But this is something I can actually do without going insane. In fact it relaxes me. ;-)

    1. Dank je wel. Vilt was ideaal om mee te werken, lekker dik en het rafelt niet.

  3. Oh my, what a beautiful cover and journal. Have you ever given any thought to having tutorials on all the great artist art that you get accomplished? I would love to know just what you did and how you made the beautiful cover and bind the awesome papers.

    1. I have some tutorials in the tutorial section (see the tabs above). If you go on youtube there are tons of tutorials on making a fabric journal cover. I just added the felt patches as my own touch. As for the journal itself I did not bind it. It's an old book. I just took out half the pages and covered the rest in gesso. Presto!

    1. Thanks so much. I don't know if I have a talent for it, this is pretty simple really, but I do enjoy it a lot, which totally surprised me.

  6. I loved your reflection that your character was you yet more of what you are aiming for... that's the beauty of fake journaling... no pressure to be what you've always been. You and your character are just free to be.

Now the book cover is A-MA-ZING!
