Progression of a doodle drawing

Every morning I work for half an hour in my Morning Book and that makes it possible for me to really record the progress of a drawing in stages. Especially the more intricate kind like my doodle drawings. They can take up to four hours so a page can take me up to eight days in the Morning Book (and yes, that feels really long).

I thought it might be interesting to see the progression of one of those pages. Every picture was taken after half an hour of work. Please ignore the difference in colours between pictures. This has to do with the fact that sometimes I have to work in artificial light and sometimes in daylight.

Obviously this drawing took three and a half hours to finish as there are seven pictures. It was drawn in a pigma micron pen and then coloured in with spectrum aqua markers.

If you want to follow my Morning Book in real time you can do so via Instagram (@caatjes_artsy_stuff ) or Facebook (Carin Winkelman). I post my progress there every day.

Hope you liked this peek into my process and I wish you all a wonderful and artsy day.
