Walking around the ponds

Remember how I had the flu last October? Well, looks like the virus liked it here, because it came back! In the past week I was struck down for the second time within five months and it really pissed me off. I mostly lay around with this it's-not-fair-poor-me kind of feeling. I'm feeling very sorry for myself, yes.  But what can you do except stay very still and accept it?

The flu itself is actually not as aggressive as last time, but somehow my body is taking it harder. Maybe because it is the second time in such a short time? What I mean is that I feel like my limbs are all weak and wobbly and I'm just sleeping and sleeping and sleeping some more to get rid of the overall fatigue.

Luckily I had already preplanned a bunch of posts on my blog, so you didn't really notice it over here, but trust me, it has not been a fun week.

I'm still not fully out of the woods, but I have been out of the house a little to try to get my strength up. Since two days I've been taking short walks close to home. It's frustrating for someone who enjoys long leisurely walks to be exhausted after less than half an hour and go into a coughing fit when she gets home, but at least I'm outside in nature again.

I've even taken some pictures with my phone while I was out and since I mostly walked around the ponds that are near here you will see lots of water in them. In fact even those without ponds have water in them. That's the rain that has been collecting here and there over the winter. ;-)

So...without further ado...let me take you walking around the ponds!

Well, if you don't mind, I'm going to sit down now, put my feet up and just read for a while and maybe take another nap. I really need my naps right now, preferably two. ;-)

Wishing you all a wonderful and artsy day and stay away from those bloody germs, will you?
