Another birthday - another giveaway!

Hard to believe how fast time goes, but the calendar doesn't lie. It's April 11th again and that means it's time for another birthday. I'm turning 43 today and I couldn't be more pleased.  I feel privileged to grow older, I guess I'm funny that way. ;-)

In my almost three years of blogging it's become a kind of tradition for me to do a giveaway on my birthday, as far as one can speak of traditions when you've only done things twice before, but I do intend to keep this one up as long as I keep the blog up. So, here's another birthday giveaway, yay!

I've been thinking about what to give you and since I haven't had the time to create a special birthday gift I have decided to give you something special that's all ready to go. It's the last book I made: The Book Formerly Known As ROD Square!

You can read all about how this book came into being and why it has such a ridiculously long name over here. There's a few more pictures there as well.

I had every intention of using this book myself sometime in the future and I must say giving it away takes some swallowing on my part. But I was thinking that it may be a while before I get to use it, since I have so many books to fill in progress right now, and then by the time I was ready for it I might already have made ten other books that I really love too. And...I wanted to really give you something that was dear to my heart and this book really is. I think because it was such a struggle to finish it, to me it's a book with a story. Precious.

The book has a fabric cover of taffeta and damask and the circles on it are surrounded by beads, which was my first endeavor in beading to fabric ever and I'm quite proud of that. The book has four signatures of beautiful double sided scrapbook paper. All the paper pages are sewn from different strips, so it's full of variety.

The book has 120 pages (that's counting both sides) and measures about 8x8 inches (20x20 cm). The cover is a little larger than that and ties closed with a ribbon. The signatures are hand sewn into the cover.

If you want to win this book all you have to do are two things:
  1. Leave a comment and some way to reach you (e-mail, blog, facebook, whatever works for you). Do this before April 20, because that's when I will draw a winner.
  2. Check back to see if you've won somewhere in the week after that. If I don't hear back from the winner I contacted I will select another one after April 27, so don't bother to compete if you're not going to check back.

That's all there's to it. You don't have to become a follower or praise me to kingdom come, but of course I would love it if you did, since my ego requires plenty of stroking to stay happy. ;-)

I hope you all like this giveaway and give it a try, you never know if you might be the lucky winner. Just know that these giveaways are my way of saying thank you to all of you for your continuous support and blogsy love.

I hope we will still be in this blogosphere together for many birthdays to come! Have a wonderful day!
